This Alce Nero Fairtrade bean blend is made with Arabica coffee grown at altitudes of above 1500 metres, in the shade of enormous tropical trees, from our farming partners at Prodecoop in Nicaragua and Coop Norandino in Peru. The result is a coffee with an unmistakeable aroma and delicate flavour. Prodecoop and Coop Norandino, together with Alce Nero, are part of Cooperativa Sin Fronteras, a cooperative which has promoted the quality and wholesomeness of raw ingredients since it was established, but which, more than anything else, fosters social and environmental sustainability.
Our coffee packaging features an “aroma saving” valve, which allows the gases naturally occurring within the packet to escape but preventing air which would oxidise the product from getting in. In doing so, the aromas continue to mature and retain the purity of their original flavour.

Alce nero is an organic farmer and processor who have been working since 1978 to produce delicious food, the result of farming practices that respect the land and its fertility.
We bring together more than 1,000 farmers in Italy and over 10,000 small family-run farms in Central and South America.
For more than 40 years we have been choosing organic farming, nurturing the delicate balance between our Plant and its Inhabitants: this is why we have decided to produce foods which are good for both. Products made from ingredients grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, thanks to state-of-the-art agronomic capacities, with utmost respect for the land and the people who cultivate it. Products processed with techniques which protect and exalt the characteristics of our ingredients, also thanks to ingredient lists which are always short and simple, free from preservatives and additives.
