1930 gründeten Antonie und Gustav Hunzelmann ihre Kaffeerösterei in Stuttgart. In dritter Generation führt Martina Hunzelmann das vielfach ausgezeichnete Familienunternehmen – und damit die größte der kleinen Rösterei-Manufakturen in Deutschland.
Direkter und partnerschaftlicher Handel mit Costa Rica seit 1964.
Hochland Kaffee wurde bereits 2001 als einzige deutsche Kaffee-Manufaktur für partnerschaftliche und direkte Handelsbeziehungen vom Präsidenten Costa Ricas ausgezeichnet. Von den dortigen Kaffeebauern kauft Martina Hunzelmann persönlich und zu garantierten Abnahmepreisen nahezu 80 % der wertvollen Rohkaffees.
