Brand Story

This is us, the duo behind Cycle Roasters. Philip and Sergey, both boys from Lübeck; Sergey originally from Orenburg, 1000 kilometers southeast of Moscow and Philip born in Lübeck and half-British. We both travel a lot around the world and especially in the coffee scene and have found our home here in Lübeck. We are a dynamic duo and want to grow here, present our idea of coffee and share it with you.

Coffee has always played a big role for both of us, which has only grown over time. After studying business administration and German, Philip started working part-time as a barista and then learned this art from scratch in various positions and cafés. At some point it was time to roast the coffee and it quickly became clear that I had the passion and talent to make more of it. After successfully participating in the German Roasting Championships with 3rd place in 2018 and 2nd place in 2019, the path for 2020 was set, but we all know what pandemic intervened.

In the meantime, Sergey had successfully completed his apprenticeship as a restaurant specialist and set out in search of the true cup of coffee. After a fine training period to become a barista, the next step came with the new roastery, where we both met again.

Now we are daring to embark on a new joint project and present ourselves as Cycle Roasters to give our passion for coffee and everything that goes with it a platform. We select our coffees based on their individual taste and profile and try to give you 100% representation of the supply chain. Every coffee and its story is unique and we want to get the best out of it with care and knowledge.

Our work doesn’t end after the coffee has won awards as we will continue to provide support by helping you improve the results, and maximize the usage of the private label’s coffee. We will assist in the launch of your product, learn how consumers respond to your new coffee, and provide suggestions to help you further develop coffee products.
