Slayer Espresso is run by coffee professionals for coffee professionals. We exist to create the tools you want and need to Make Coffee Better.
Before starting Slayer Espresso, Jason Prefontaine was an espresso machine importer, technician, coffee roaster, and cafe owner. In 2005, he encountered incredible coffees on the cupping table which simply didn’t translate to great espresso due to limitations of the available machines.
Unaware of the radical coffee market’s needs, the manufacturers at this time were unwilling to innovate and resistant to change. Jason knew espresso machines could make coffee better and was confident that if he made this machine, his peers would want it, too.
